The Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection

 

Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide voice, acting, and body training classes to perfect the technique and musical skills of outstanding advanced singers. We cater to the singers' needs in a crucial junction in their professional life when the necessity to polish the musical, technical and dramatic skills becomes pivotal for a successful start. Our permanent staff includes the voice teachers, Sylvia Greenberg and Rosemarie Danziger, conductor/coach, David Aronson of the Vienna State Opera and the stage director, Dedi Baron. All of our faculty members have enjoyed significant international careers.

 

The Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection meets up to four times a year for intensive week long sessions. The workshop's home is in a villa in a suburb near Tel Aviv. In the past three years, our winter session took place at the Eilat Chamber Music Festival, where we included singers from Austria who enjoyed the sponsorship of the Austrian Cultural Forum.

 

During the five years of our existence, we had accumulated some of the best young operatic talents in Israel, alongside with a number of European protégés. As a result, we have decided to expand our activities and provide our singers with the opportunity to gain professional experience and exposure in full opera productions. We therefore established a collaboration with the Israel Chamber Orchestra (ICO). Our first fruit of this collaboration was the acclaimed production of Mozart's Impresario in March 2017. We are convinced that our upcoming projects with this important orchestra will be as successful.
